For decades, he’s championed blues, country, rockabilly, soul, and rock ’n’ roll, fronting Austin staples like Teddy & The Talltops, The Tearjoint Troubadors, The Naughty Ones, and The King Conjure Orchestra. His harmonica has graced recordings by Dave Alvin, Jimmie Dale Gilmore, Charley Crockett, Dale Watson, and more, and he’s appeared on Austin City Limits, Texas Connection, and in the cult film Horror Hayride. Since 1986, his twice-yearly “Tribute to The King” at the Continental Club has been an Austin tradition. A Texas Music Hall of Fame inductee, Ted doesn’t just honor the Texas sound—he lives it.
